A/Prof Fergal O’Donoghue is a highly experienced Respiratory and Sleep Physician who trained at the National University of Ireland in Dublin before moving to Australia in 1993. He completed specialist training in Respiratory Medicine at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth and Repatriation General Hospital in Adelaide, where he also undertook subspecialty training in Sleep Medicine and completed a PhD focused on non-invasive ventilatory support (BiPAP) in severe COPD.
Since relocating to Melbourne in 2001, Fergal has held appointments at Austin Health and Warringal Private Hospital. He combines extensive clinical experience with a strong commitment to research, education and advancing standards in respiratory and sleep medicine. His practice encompasses all areas of respiratory medicine, with particular expertise in sleep disorders, non-invasive ventilation and lung cancer diagnosis and management.
