Patients who are experiencing flu-like symptoms, including cough, fever, sore throat, runny nose or other respiratory symptoms, are requested to wear a face mask while attending the clinic.

Please arrive on time for your appointment and allow sufficient time to locate parking, as street parking in the area may be limited.

A valid referral from your General Practitioner or referring specialist is required for your consultation. Please bring your referral with you to your appointment.

Please bring details of all medications you are currently taking, particularly those prescribed for respiratory conditions, including inhalers and puffer medications.

If your appointment includes respiratory function testing (such as Spirometry or TLCO testing), please do not use any inhaler, puffer or Ventolin medication on the day of your test unless it is medically necessary.

If you are uncertain whether you should withhold your medication, please contact the clinic prior to your appointment.

MRSS is a private specialist practice and does not bulk bill. Consultation fees are payable in full on the day of your appointment and may be paid by cash or credit card.

*Medicare rebates are subject to eligibility and current Medicare requirements.

Patients seeking concession rates must present a valid Pensioner Concession Card or Health Care Card at the time of their appointment. Discounted fees cannot be applied without sighting a valid card.

For eligible Medicare card holders, MRSS staff can process Medicare rebate claims on your behalf at the time of payment.

Accounts for eligible DVA Gold Card holders will be billed directly to the Department of Veterans’ Affairs where applicable.

If you are unable to attend your appointment, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice.

Failure to provide the required notice may result in a $50 cancellation fee. This fee may also apply to missed appointments where no prior notice is received.

All fees listed are correct at the time of publication. Melbourne Respiratory & Sleep Services reserves the right to amend consultation fees, testing fees and associated charges at any time without prior notice.
